MENTORING STUDENT SUPPORT
200 Hour Pathway
Supervised Healing Practice
Students please;
- Book your place by contacting (email or phone) Karen in the office ( membership@thehealingtrust.org.uk ) by 2pm on the last Wednesday of the month, for the Supervised Healing or the Code of Conduct Session to take place on the1st Wednesday of the following month. No late bookings will be accepted due to time needed to organise both supervisors and students.
- Let Karen know if you wish to take part in the Healing Supervision and whether you will have one or two clients present and/or if you wish to take part in the Code of Conduct. We will do our best to provide enough Supervisors for one or two healing sessions or one healing session and Code of Conduct practice.
- Karen will send the Student list to Yvonne Fitzgerald (Mentoring Team Leader) who will then contact the number of Mentors needed a week in advance.
- Yvonne will send an email with the Zoom link to students on the Supervision Wednesday. Students login promptly between 7.10pm and 7.15pm.
If for any reason you need to cancel before or on the day please email Karen in the office up to 2pm.
Otherwise email Yvonne from 2pm onwards at yvonne@thehealingtrust.org.uk being mindful that your Supervisor has already booked the evening to be there for you.
Please do not book your place unless you are sure you will have a client for the healing supervision.
Emergency cancellations while unfortunate for everyone are of course understood.
Criteria to attend these sessions:
- A student can attend the Online Supervised Healing evenings once they have completed Parts 1 and 2 of the THT Training, are fully conversant with the Chair Healing Process and can be observed offering healing to a client.
- The student must also have had prior practice with family, friends, other healers, students or at a healing centre so the online supervision is adding to what they have already learned. Normally a Tutor or Mentor will let a student know when they feel that the student is confident enough in the chair healing (and or Couch healing after completing Part 3) to take part in the online supervision as it is one avenue to gaining the required 40 hours supervised healing practice.
- The Code of Conduct is an optional add on after the student has completed the healing supervision session. Sometimes this cannot be provided if there are not enough Supervisors available on the evening.
If you are an experienced healer ( Tutor, Trainee Tutor or Healer actively healing for 2 years minimum) and would like to join the Supervision/Mentor Team please contact the office for details. Thank you.
