A few years ago I use to keep a little book for healing My little book was called a ‘Thought Book’ I would write peoples names and also owners who wanted their pets included. I never put in their full name or any personal details.
A first name (or name of animal) and a brief sentence of what is troubling them is all that is needed People got to know what I did and would ask if they could be in my Thought Book Over the years, my book became quite full with all the requests. I had been looking for a while for that ‘special’ book to continue with the thoughts In 2011 I started training with The Healing Trust. During my training I was determined to find that special little book One day I called in our local stationary shop to get some coloured pencils, paper and the hope of finding something suitable for my Thought Book. I came across this beautiful, colourful, country garden scene. I couldn’t put it down and it so happened it was the last one! Nature is our medicine for healing the mind and body. The pink is for unconditional love and the Lavender is relaxing, calming and balances the emotions. (I am a qualified Colour and Aromatherapist!) I have taken a photo of the cover of my Thought Book, using my mobile phone. I send the photo to people who are unable to travel and live a long way. That this may give them healing and comfort I tell my clients and people with animals about my book and what it is used for. Again word has soon spread! People have taken a lot of comfort knowing their name or animal is in my Thought Book. Knowing that someone is thinking of them and that they are not alone. Over the years, before I joined The Healing Trust, I have sent countless texts to people in need for whatever they are experiencing. Just that little something makes a huge difference and sometimes you don’t know the depth of difference you have made. Our lives have become busier and more demanding that we forget at times the simplest act of thought and kindness.
