A new leader for UK Healers
UK Healers, the largest umbrella group of healers in the UK, has a new Chair. At yesterday’s AGM in London, Colin Baker, who has done many years of outstanding work as Chair, stepped down to become Vice Chair. Janet Howard, the new Chair, is a healer, teacher and assessor and has been a member of UK Healers policy making board for over fifteen years, the last ten years as secretary. During this time UK Healers has worked tirelessly to ensure members’ standards of healing are second to none.
Says Janet, pictured above with Colin, “I am both proud and honoured to to lead UK Healers to the next phase.” Janet is an inspirational leader and founder of several unique and innovative projects - all have gained national recognition and have been acclaimed as national examples of best practice. We are lucky to have her as a leader in the healing world.
What is UK Healers?
UK Healers is a voluntary organisation representing the largest number of healers in the UK. It sets quality criteria for its associated organisations for the training and practice of spiritual healing and checks that they meet them. It contributes to national standards. It is also a verifying body for healers wishing to register with either of the two independent regulatory bodies for complementary therapists. All members of The Healing Trust are automatically members of UK Healers, and make up over half of the membership.
