The Board wish all our Members a Peaceful and Sunny Spring

It has been a very busy few weeks for the Board with the many Regional AGMs to attend. We have really enjoyed getting around the country, meeting members and listening to your views.

There are still some AGMs yet to be held. Here are the details:

AGM Date Location Contact Telephone Email

Membership renewals are coming in and the office Staff are extremely busy.

A full Audit of the Charity was started on Monday 26th March 2012. To be able to take the Charity forward, we have to have as much financial information available to us as possible in order for us to make decisions.

We have a very busy time ahead of us!

We will try to keep everyone posted on what we are doing wherever possible. One of the key things in our Manifesto is to be open, honest and transparent.

But please bear with us – remember that we are volunteers and we have other commitments. Some of us work full time and it is not always easy to fit everything in. We do like to relax and sleep occasionally!

You can also keep in touch with us via the website - just go to the Contact Us page, choose Board of Trustees as the category and your message will come through to us. We will do our best to answer quickly.

Alternatively, why not join the Forum? Share your stories or views with other members, make new friends. It's a great way to keep in touch.

And talking of "In Touch"

The last edition of "In Touch" had already gone to print before the Board had time to put together an article to go in the magazine. We know many people have questioned why there was no news from the Board and we hope this clarifies why.

The Future of "In Touch"

We have received a number of suggestions regarding the future of "In Touch" and the Board have decided not to produce any further editions of the magazine in its current format. This means that there will be no May edition. We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Nikki Zalewski for her excellent work on "In Touch" over the past few years.

One of our Trustees, Patricia Bateman, has taken on the task of moving forward with a new publication for the NFSH. Any suggestions or offers of help will be gratefully received.

Training

Tutor Conference

Christina Mark is organising a Tutor Conference for Sunday 24th June 2012. It will take place at the Holiday Inn, Doncaster. Tutors should have received a letter about this by now. If you are a Tutor and haven't received a letter yet, get in touch with Christina.

Membership & Insurance Renewal

Have you renewed yet?

Your Membership and Insurance Expired on 31st March 2012

Renewal Notices went out with the last edition of "In Touch". If you did not renew by 31st March 2012, you will no longer be insured under your membership. There will be no charge for late renewal.

You can download the Renewal Form to print out, fill in and return to us. You can also renew by phoning Central Office on 01604 603 247.

We would like to thank all those members who are renewing their membership this year.

To those who feel that it is time to move on, we wish you well, but would like you to consider staying on with the NFSH. The energies within the NFSH are now moving forward and growing stronger as we start to rebuild our organisation.

We would really like all our current members to be a part of the rebuilding process that is now under way.
