Complementary Health Suite Opens

at Northampton General Hospital

Following the success of their ‘Trilogy: How to help the Mind, Body & Spirit survive mouth, head and neck cancer’, co-authors Carol Dunstone and Ann Bennett have not let the grass grow under their feet. Their long held dream, to set up a holistic centre for cancer patients finally became reality when Northampton Mayor, Michael Hill officially opened it on Friday 16th October.

In gratitude for their restored good health, the Dunstone Bennett Suite is a fantastic facility centred around the various healing modalities and services Carol and Ann have found effective in assisting their recovery.  It is open to patients at NGH and their primary caregivers, who are on a journey through cancer.    

Included in the wide range of complementary therapies on offer is massage, reflexology, Indian Head massage; reiki from graduates of Rei-ki Academy and spiritual healing from members of The Healing Trust. Counselling, art therapy, cosmetic and legal advice are also available from the highly skilled and insured volunteers. Each thirty-minute session is free however; donations are accepted to help cover the running costs of the suite.
